Country music's rapidly ascending star, Gavin Adcock, has unveiled his most ambitious tour to date, "The Day I Hang It Up Tour," a 27-city North American trek set to kick off May 7, 2026, in Hollywood, Florida, and conclude in November.
A Packed Touring Schedule
The tour runs through summer and fall, ending November 14 at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids. It's his fourth major headline tour since 2024—a rapid climb for the Georgia native.
Fans can secure tickets starting with presales on Wednesday, March 18, with the general public on-sale beginning Friday, March 20, at 10 a.m. local time. The tour launches at the Hard Rock Live at Seminole in Hollywood, Florida, on May 7.
Adcock isn't stopping there. He's also slated to join country superstar Morgan Wallen for 16 additional dates on Wallen's "Still The Problem Tour 2026." This dual touring strategy positions Adcock as one of the most visible artists in country music today.
Six different artists rotate through the lineup: Braxton Keith, Corey Kent, Jake Worthington, Pecos & The Rooftops, Tyler Nance, and The Creekers. Each city gets different openers, which keeps things fresh and reflects how tight the modern country scene really is.
The tour kicks off in spring, hits the Pacific Northwest in late July and August. Major markets across the country, including Boston, Philadelphia, and Detroit, will see performances from September through November. Summer dates run from May 7 to August 9, building momentum into the crucial autumn touring season. For instance, the tour will stop at the Fishers Event Center in Fishers, Indiana, on Thursday, October 22, with Pecos & The Rooftops and Tyler Nance.
From Football Field to Platinum Hits
Adcock's path to stardom started with a knee injury. The former Georgia Southern University football player, who grew up on his family's cattle farm in Watkinsville, Georgia, pivoted to music after a knee injury in 2021 ended his football season. While recovering, he recorded and released original songs that found an audience fast.
Since then, Adcock has amassed more than 1.5 billion global streams across his catalog. His single "A Cigarette" has earned platinum certification, while tracks like "Run Your Mouth," "Deep End," and "Four Leaf Clover" have achieved gold status. His 2024 album, "Actin' Up Again," marked the largest major-label country debut by a solo male artist that year. He followed this success with "Own Worst Enemy" in 2025, which debuted as the top new country album on the Billboard 200 Country chart and reached No. 14 on the all-genre Billboard 200.
Industry observers have described Adcock's live performances as a "collision of extremes" and "high-octane," with devoted crowds matching the intensity of his on-stage style.
Honoring Country's Legacy
Beyond his extensive touring and chart-topping albums, Adcock also curated the 11-track compilation album "Country Never Dies," released through Warner Records Nashville. This unique project gathers a group of young country artists to cover songs by legendary figures who are no longer with us.
The album dropped between Megan Moroney's Cloud 9 and Luke Combs's The Way I Am, giving it room to breathe. None of these artists are superstars yet—they've all got something to prove, which makes the album feel real. Jake Worthington, who recently turned 30, stands as the elder statesman among the solo artists involved, still with significant commercial potential ahead.
"Country Never Dies" thoughtfully balances classic hits with deeper cuts, avoiding an easy reliance on number-one singles for clicks and nostalgia. Songs like "You Win Again," "Big City Blues," and "Kentucky Bluebird" might even be new discoveries for many fans, both young and old. That choice shows what the album's really about: keeping country alive, introducing songs to new listeners, reminding older fans why they matter.
Adcock himself contributes to the album, covering "Only Daddy That'll Walk the Line." Written by Jimmy Bryant and famously recorded by Waylon Jennings in 1968, Adcock's rendition opens the compilation. It's basically a group of country fans who happen to be artists, singing songs they actually love.
Dynamic Live Performances
Adcock's known for bringing serious energy to his shows. His shows are intense, and his fans match that intensity every night. That stage presence has been huge in his quick rise through country music.
The Fishers Event Center stop, for example, will feature Pecos & The Rooftops, a Texas-based band known for blending country, rock, and Americana, and Tyler Nance, a 22-year-old Missouri singer-songwriter whose song "Keeps Me Sane" has generated nearly 100 million global streams. It's a solid lineup that should give fans a diverse night.
The Fishers concert continues a steady lineup of entertainment events being booked at the Fishers Event Center since its opening in late 2024.
